The way everything interlocks you can remove some pieces very easily with endangering or damaging the building. It's the whole reason they can get away with 300-400 year old castles made of wood still standing

I think we could reduce recidivism right now by dividing our prisons differently and actually giving 2nd chances. For some reason, whether it’s voting or 2A rights, we’re okay with life sentences for every felony so people really don’t have a problem with unfair punishment. It matters more is it appears cruel than if it actually is. It’s the same with green energy. If someone says they’re a proponent of green energy but aren’t okay with nuclear, I can’t take them seriously. They’re either ignorant or have a different agenda. Windmills and solar panels use more fossil fuels than they save at the cost of power. However people feel better about wind and solar than they do about nuclear. Basically it’s all about appearances not reality

Now take that to tge extreme cases, and you have a prisoner, whether by luck, or circumstance. What is then most humane?

I can imagine it being developed, but then immediately buried and only used by cartels and the like for torture. Or being implemented in certain places, but refused by others who see it as inhumane, whereas another group would see this as an opportunity to learn about transferring the mind fully into a digital space, and another would go all doomsday and try to eradicate them along with the people who made them.
